I am Black. Does it Matters Anymore? Part one
What does it means to be Black/African American? I am constantly getting told that I am not Black when I am obvious am. Does my personality dnot reflect a Black person? Is it just a stereotype that I am suppose to be? If someone who knows me reads this, can you tell me why am I not Black? On this day and age, does it matters what my race is? What do I see myself as?
Why do we care about anybody race anymore? I do know that racism still exist, but not as much as when my parents were growing up.We live in world where we have a Black man as President( I know a lot of people hate him for his policies. I do too). There are more bi-racial couples and children popping up in the world now than there was even twenty years ago. We shouldn't care anymore about race. It is stupid to keep bringing up race at every chance we get. There are racists of all color. I hear Black people saying that the White man is keeping them down and not letting them have jobs. People of all races are having a hard time finding jobs. Those same Black people are the same ones who didn't have jobs before the economy went down the drain. They was living off of the government just like they are doing now. Also, there are White people and other races in America that are also living off of the government.
Everybody have the same opportunities as the next person regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation and creed. There might be a little harder for some, but still have the same opportunities. Stop throwing your race at people when it really doesn't matters. I am going to keep this one short, but I will write on this subject again at a later date. I shall be leaving this in your head for now. Take care.

My personal feelings on the whole racism thing is that there are not different "races". There are different skin colors...different cultures...different ethnic groups, yes.
ReplyDeleteBut there is ONE race --- the human race. Equally human, and equally valuable.
...That is just how I feel. =)
P.S., this is a cool background.
